Food For Thought and Life

Introduction
A healthy body requires nurturance. We need an extensive array of nutrients. How important Is diet? There is a whole array of health advice out in the world that I hope has not caused you to get lost in confusion, bad advice and no firm an real idea about health.

We need vitamins minerals, water, fresh air, sun and a healthy and nourished soul among other things. If you want to find out what food is healthy and what food is not healthy you probably already have red and heard thousands of opinions from friends, experts, strangers, websites, magazines and more.

I will suggest here that a healthy diet is much simpler than an amazingly huge book about which vitamins and minerals and calories and fats and proteins are in which foods and which enzyme supplements you need in order to absorb them. I want to present to you a simple common sense logic that depends much on the involvement of your own senses rather than the intellectual opinions of other people, educational institutions, and media outlets. I also want to pose rhetorical questions about what some of our modern day foods and actual poisons really are.

Minerals
We all need minerals and we all need to get enough of them. We need boron for healthy bones, teeth and metabolism of other minerals. We need Calcium for blood clotting, intracellular signaling and muscle contraction. We also need Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorous, Potassium, Selenium, Sodium, Sulphur, Zinc and many more minerals for possibly thousands or even millions of functions and processes in our bodies.

So where would we get our minerals from? Would we get them all from your regular table salt or the salt in the packages foods from the grocery store? Regular commercially added salt (including Table Salt) only has Sodium Chloride as well as a chemical (which I think is toxic) to prevent clumping. Most of our conventionally grown plants are given mineral poor fertilizer which makes it harder for the plants to absorb or even find trace minerals. The animals that eat these plants can only get as many minerals as they eat, at best.

The minerals you can get from vegetables and fruit can be enough to get you the minerals you need. But eating just any vegetable or fruit does not necessarily help. If you have been to a grocery store you probably realize that many of the fruits and vegetables there are virtually tasteless. If a food is weak in taste it is also deficient in minerals and other nutrients that you need. Why is it not a common thing to consider the taste of your food as a factor directly relates to the nutritional value that a food has to you? Intensity of taste directly correlates to density of nutrition.

Real Food
With food I mean Real Food, not a snack (& beverages) which is not food but poison. Even many foods that are called so are not foods. One such pretend food is milk & dairy, which blocks nutrition and mineral absorption and is medically recorded as something that makes osteoporosis (weakening of the bones) WORSE, NOT better. Drinking milk with any meal makes it very hard to digest that meal. Dairy products cause the body to produce a mucous membrane that creates a barrier between the digestive activities of your intestinal walls and the food inside your intestines. (I suppose this barrier is intelligently intended to keep some sort of poison in the dairy out.) People of Latino, African and most other non-European descents are very commonly allergic to dairy (ie. Their bodies reject it and throw it out as quick as they can - just like when they would eat something else that is also poisonous). I suppose that because Europeans have such a long history of consuming dairy, that we have become adapted to milk, not necessarily to our benefit.

Dairy is found in very many processed foods and is very pervasive.

Processed foods are generally not desirable. Refined foods almost always contain refined salts, sugars and other industrial merchandise and chemicals that really are hard on our bodies and eventually lethal. It is unnatural and not how God made the universe. God made our world perfect, going contrary to that design costs us in vitality and energy and for some our lives or live hoods.

Common sense (is not so common)
Why do so many of us depend on outside sources to sense for us what is good and what is not? God did give us a tongue so we can taste things, right? Did God make our appetite to attract us to nachos, Doritos, cheetos, and other –os? Surely that makes no sense. Our appetite was not made for pleasure (and I must note that it leads to suffering, for many people). Our appetite is supposed to draw us to food that we need, there is nothing wrong with appetite by itself. Your appetite will draw you to foods you need. Your own appetite for natural non-processed foods is the best indicator for what your body needs. This is where many of us - the people - will need to do some work by looking around different stores, not just the organic ones but also conventional stores as well as farmers markets in order to find the most naturally tasty foods. God made your appetite well and he did not anticipate processed foods of any kind when he made your body temple so it is not a good idea to try to feed your appetite with artificial foods. Eat real food, for a real life from God.

Our appetite is one sense that is very common to us, another sense that is common to us all is our stomach. If your stomach hurts from or after eating a particular food, that food is probably not a food at all.

Fake Food
Personally I’ve always been suspicious of mass produced foods and in particular those boxed up behind ingredient lists.
I would want to explain to help you understand and realize with your being firmly and solidly in your understanding about which foods are real and not real. And this understanding is that if a food item is easily accepted without due process of discernment and remembrance of personal responsibility that it is then probably a good food.

One such food which is so much promoted and marketed by the industries is soy and so easily it is accepted by people. But it is a poison and particularly dangerous to our babies in the form of soy formula. A baby fed soy formula  receives 20 times the estrogen that is found in birth control pills. It completely messes with the bodies hormonal system.
Soy is one of the main foods being mass produced today. Soy cultivation is closely tied to the destruction of rainforests. Foods that require a lot of fertilizer and pesticides to grow generally are not desirable for health. Wheat is one of these, and it is all pervasive. I mean ALL PERVASIVE. There is almost no food without wheat, few modern meals without wheat. Wheat is in bread, pasta, cookies, cereal, cake, pie, .

A diet consisting of mostly wheat is very heavy on the body.

EEWWWW!! (food from hell, dishes from hell)
I am very confident - and by no presence of exceeding arrogance – that you are familiar with dishwashing. To explain, I need to relate to you what I see when I look at dishwashing. And for that we need to remember our dishes. Our dishes - If I may suppose that your housekeeper does good work – start out clean, but get dirty after every meal. Do you suppose that if dishes are dirty and hard to wash with just water, that it is easy for your body to wash itself of these foods? If a food sticks to your plate like superglue and needs some pretty strong chemicals to wash it off then it is clear that it also sticks very well in your intestines and by virtue of the moist, dark and warm conditions will rot and poison your body.

God did not design our bodies for ‘culinary masterpieces’ (which do not grow on any trees that God made) but for natural foods which wash off easily. Any dish on which vegetables or fruits were served are easily cleaned of these, even with just water. Any dish on which meat was served usually needs soap and these foods move much slower in the digestive system. The same goes for solid dairy and wheat products and all the condiments (like catch-up and sauce)

If it makes a mess of your dishes, it makes a mess of your toilet paper and every place in-between. You can use soap to wash your dishes, your intestines are a different story. Your body does use its own systems (Diarrhea, Fever) to try and keep up with unnatural eating habits. That however does not substitute for Gods Design of our body temple and the proper use of it. The proof of this is flushed down the toilet.

The high price of worthless food
There is an artificial mindset in the world that is saying that cheaper is better, but it is not. Cheap assembly line food is robbing us of our vitality. Empty food is costing us in health insurance, in lost productivity on the work floor, it is costing us because we have less energy in our relationships, retarded mental capacity, infertility and a numbed intelligence and crippled but delicate and valuable functions of our bodies that are not recognized by conventional science but which are essential for harmony and God-Life. What passes as a standard for good health in modern society is much lower than the standard of health which God gave to us and which is recorded in the bible. Salah Lived 103 Years (Gen 11:15), Jacob about 147 Years (47:28), Joseph atleast 110 (Gen 50:22), Job at least 140 Years (Job 42:16). In our modern day there are the Hunza people in Pakistan, who regularly (!) reach age 130 and where 90 years old elderly still compete the younger generations in sports. (Try to get our 60 year old family members to push a lawnmower these days.)

Empty food costs you in opportunities to grow and to be, to feel God his Feelings in your life and to share them with others.

There are also many conditions that do not have much of a root in physical habits, but rather in the emotional, mental or spiritual worlds. But I hope that for some of you the health issues are only an issue of being well informed and making good decisions about your physical lifestyle. Many of us on earth should not be weak, sickly and dying early. God is delighted in our good health when we are healthy. (And delight is good for the bones.)

Finally it would be the best if you developed an internal understanding which you can draw of which you feel you understand it with your being, not with a book, not with a website, not with a magazine, not with a person. It is between you, your body temple and God. The truth should come from that space.

All Glory to God,

Sander
