Wisdom Without Heart
The center of our Being is our heart. In a physical sense, the brain is the center of the body, not the heart. But in a spiritual sense, our heart rules. Those on earth who believe they are just a physical being will be ruled by their brain and what intelligence they have garnered to themselves. If they believe in God they might elevate that intelligence to what they call "wisdom". There are even religions around the world that have elevated wisdom to be the principal thing. But this is false. The path of the Heart is what is taught herein. If you live in the world, which we all do, we are enveloped with the wisdom of this world. Very few religions teach a path that is centered in the Heart. Even the most powerful religions Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism and Islam, do not, for the most part, teach a path of the Heart. The place where you can find teachings on the Heart is in the Holy Bible, which three of the most powerful religions use. Hinduism The Hindu's main goal is to seek liberation from bondage. Each Hindu is encouraged to choose his own path to that liberation using the 1. mind and the gaining of knowledge; 2. service, where one must learn to perform all actions with detachment out of a sense of duty; and 3. devotion, where it is encouraged to use love exclusively to achieve liberation. A Hindu may use one path or a combination of any these three. So the way and choice is provided to seek liberation and find oneness with the Divine through the heart. But the heart also may be entirely passed over for the attempt of liberation through the mind
Buddhism Buddhism teaches that wisdom should be developed with compassion. But:
Another aspect of the goal of a Buddhist is to reach Nirvana and attain enlightenment. Meditation is an important part of Buddhist practices, with the goal of stilling the mind. Buddhists practice self-emptying and a cessation of desire to reach the state of some akin to bliss or Nirvana. In Mahayana Buddhism, Nirvana is an emphasis on the oneness of all life. Nirvana is conceived as a human experience of oneness with unconditioned consciousness (the absolute), which gives insight into the unity of the world (samsara), body, mind and soul. It is a state of transcending conditioned consciousness. It is also described as dwelling in the experience of the intense bliss in cognizing one's identity with unconditioned consciousness. It is freedom from attachment to the states of unhappiness, satisfaction and all desires. Since desires are of the heart, it is practicing freedom from oneness in the heart, to oneness through the mind. Oneness through the heart is meant to be on the vertical level with God and the heavenly beings. Buddhists strive to be one with all life, without discernment that all is not God, because there is no God in Buddhism. It is the ultimate disregard for using the heart to discern right from wrong-doing. Heart-centeredness in Buddhism is non-existence.
Judaism The purpose of meditation—in which some Jews spend many long hours—is to clearly perceive ultimate Truth, in the universe and in one’s own life. Unfortunately, one can be an adept in meditation, and still commit adultery, get angry, and be filled with pride. Spiritual consciousness, in and of itself, does not lead to proper action because they are not taught the heart is the center of spirituality.
Christianity The New Testament has also been translated so many times by learned men, and not so learned men, that disagreement arises on the interpretation of the Scriptures. Whose translation is the Word of God? Hence those disagreements have led to the many divisions in the One Christ and his teachings. Do Christians follow the path of the Heart? if they did they would not be so divided over the interpretation of Jesus' words and teachings. Did Jesus teach the center of God man as mind or heart? If we study the Scriptures you can discover the Jesus walked the path of Heart, not the mind. But he did have Wisdom. But if you try to understand Jesus' words through your mind only without heart, using a worldly sense of wisdom, the word will lack understanding. Paul describes that there is a difference between the wisdom of this world and the Wisdom of Christ.
If we do not use Christ Wisdom, we will not be able to understand this following passage, we will misinterpret it as so many denominations have, believing that there is only one Son of God.
Truly, the wise of this world will tell you that Jesus was the only Son of God. Those who open their hearts will find a different answer. The heart knows the truth, and through the heart we may contact the Mind of God through the Christ consciousness that Jesus came into this world in exemplifying the Way. Can we find the Way? We can by going beyond the wisdom of this world and finding the path of the Heart. We may use Scriptures. We may use meditation. We may use books and teachings from ancient archives. We can use most practices from the major religions, as long as we adhere to the premise that if the teaching or practice takes us into the mind and elevates the wisdom above the heart, then we are following the way of this world, not the Christ. Paul taught:
Wisdom is very important, hence the reason so many of the major religions focus on getting it. But the major mistake is to place the focus on wisdom first. The Wisdom of God that Paul speaks of is found only through wholeness. Wholeness is found only when all of your Being, including your mind, joins as one in the heart. This Christ Wisdom Movement is your place to find truths on wholeness. When you achieve wholeness in body, mind, heart and spirit, Wisdom will be a natural by-product of that wholeness.
Many know these words of Christ, but do they know what it means? Jesus gave us a prayer that Christians learned, "The Lord's Prayer". He said to pray:
Jesus is telling us "thy kingdom come" on earth as it is in heaven. We are not here on earth to escape it. We are on earth to Be God and bring in His Kingdom. And we will do it through righteousness - right use of God's Laws. Welcome to Christ's Wholeness. Your Wisdom I pray will be God's by studying the true Wisdom teachings given to us from Holy men on earth who have found the Way through the Heart. Copyright © 2010, Shangra-la Mission, Inc. |
