The body that interpenetrates the other bodies – but is finer than the physical and emotional bodies – is the mental body. This body is your vehicle through which you think and create. It was designed to be the chalice of the Mind of God through Christ Wisdom.
The mental body is found at the east gate of the City Foursquare, corresponding to the first of the four cardinal directions. The body, representing the air quadrant, in its purest form and original design is the chalice of the Mind of God. It is the cup, one of four, into which God pours His wisdom. This finer vehicle provides man with awareness and attunement with the "Hub of Life in the center of Cosmos and with the white fire core of every atom in manifestation."*
When the mental body, a vehicle through which the soul senses and functions, is dedicated as a holy temple, it becomes a Christic cornerstone for the base foundation of the City Foursquare, the cosmic cube upon which the Great Matter Pyramid of Life is raised.
However, when the mental body is opened to all manner of worldly aberration, to chakras misused and devotion to worldly wisdom and attachment, then the densities of human vibration open wide the way to a mind of lesser creation. The self is then using a vehicle not attuned to the Godhead or the frequency of the Word, but utterly susceptible to the logic of the serpent in its endless web and subtle stranglehold. Here the summoning of one's own Selfhood is the test of the east gate, whereby the Son of God sacrifices the Self in supplication unto the Father.
The child of God becomes the saint and the saint becomes the Son. As we fulfill our missions in embodiment and live in the Matter sphere, we walk the initiations and opportunities of those who would occupy the Offices of the City Foursquare as the Sons and Daughters of God.
Studying the four stages of the Incarnation of the Word, the first stage we are given is this, of the Son, the birth of the Saviour, "the initiation of the Son of man who is to become the Son of God through the Christ of Jesus under the office of the Man on the east gate."
In Spirit, as we are in Matter, as Above, so Below, we find our Wayshower in Jesus as the Cosmic Christ who occupies this Office -- Archetype of the Living Saviour Who Saves His Own through the Resurrection of the Soul. He is the Wayshower of the Son, Demonstrator of the Path of Surrender through the mastery of the mind in the air quadrant.
As Sanat Kumara gives us in his Opening of the Seventh Seal:
"In the externalization of this first archetype of personal Christhood, the Son of man discovers and defines himself to be the Son of God, declaring I AM WHO I AM . . . Lo, I AM come to do thy will, O God!" In this Self-awareness, he goes forth on the journey of soul alignment with the divine plan of God for the evolutions he is to serve. He is required to magnetize a sufficient quantity of light to hold the balance in the seven planes against all of the principles and personalities of anti-Light he will encounter."
Prayer:
I AM THAT I AM calling forth the God Victory in overcoming the density and darkness that has infiltrated my mental body. Light of God that never fails, penetrate my mental body and the mental body of every son and daughter of God. Light come forth and assist me in purifying my mental body until it becomes the pure golden yellow illumination of the Christ Mind. I call forth the energies of Omega, of Alpha to arrest the spirals of the misuse of the mental principle of the Godhead. Clear my Third-Eye chakra of all impure seeing, all selfishness, self-love and idolatry. Let my Eye be single and all that obstructs my God Vision and oppose my Victory here and now be purified!
Legions of Light , mighty Seraphim, come forth now to burn all impurities, all that the Great Law will allow out of my mental body! Blaze through! And burn up the searing memories of the human experience–all that can be taken that obstructs the divine memory. I command the divine memory come forth into this planetary home of the Golden Ages and the origin of man. Let the divine ideations come forth in my mental body! Let the perfect geometric forms be established! Expose and clear the warps in the mental belt. Arrest the spirals of darkness and decay and death. This which I call forth for myself, I call forth for every son and daughter of God on earth. It is done! For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it, I AM THAT I AM in accordance with thy Will 'O God.
